notanyoldjotter

Were you one of the lucky ones to receive one of my branded handy notepads this new year? If so, do let me know if you've used it. Even better take a picture of how you have put it to use & upload it to my twitter page - I'd love to see. If you didn't receive one and  you're feeling very jealous, drop me a line & I'm sure I can sort you one out. Notanyoldtomdickorjo gets one you know!

The Landrover spot 'Claymation' launches on TV this month - an animated ad of the classic car travelling through challenging terrain but cleverly using the changeable nature of clay, reworked and moulded into an urban city, a jungle and mountains. There is an elegance and charm about the story, that features a man transforming onto a stag, and a mountain melting to become a person surfing on the sea.
But I quite like the side project released alongside it: A viral featuring the main character "Clay Mason" talking to camera about his experience of filming the ad. Very personable.

Miss Bugs

Miss Bugs is an art partnership between a boy and a girl who spray and stick their art onto neglected walls in London. They also produce stunning limited edition prints, each hand finished by Miss Bugs with a wide range of materials including gold leaf, ink, aerosol and even magazine cuttings. Miss Bugs prints include dark and humorous themes, mixing religion with pornography and taking a swipe at the established art world. They use iconic symbols as a source of inspiration, with imagery such as Bugs Bunny, He-Man, Wonder Woman or King Kong re-mixed to represent a personal idea or cultural stance.
Miss Bugs draws inspiration from television, cartoons, news events, celebrities and religion.

    Pushy Advertising

This ambient piece created by ad agency Mudra West in Mumbai, India reminds me of Chris Offili early works (of which I am a big fan) but still it is eye catching & gets everyone involved in what is a relevant piece of push pin art for Big Bazaar stationary sale.
